If you are part of the Live Grit community, then we know you have the desire and dedication to TRAIN. You have the GRIT it takes to ACHIEVE. But, now we are excited to be able to offer some guidance for the foundation of it all, the education or the LEARN of our LEARN. TRAIN. ACHIEVE. motto.
We are happy to have a resident Live Grit trainer join the team to provide health, fitness, and nutrition education. We are excited to have Coach Julianne join the Live Grit community because she extremely knowledgeable and is passionate about helping people set and reach their goals in an encouraging and supportive environment.
Julianne comes to Live Grit with 8 years experience as a being a professional soccer player. She has played most of her career in the Women’s Professional leagues through out the states with the WPS, the WPSL-Elite and the NWSL. She has also spent time playing overseas in Sweden and Australia.
Not only is Julianne experienced in soccer, but she also holds a NASM Personal Enhancement Specialist certification. She specializes in speed, agility, strength and conditioning for individuals and teams. She fills her time coaching soccer with a local club team, Chicago City soccer club, training individuals for soccer, and personal training. She currently works at River North Gym as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor.
On a weekly basis she is going to be providing the Live Grit community with educational guidance on topics of fitness, recovery, and nutrition. We are especially excited about our “Ask Coach Julianne” segment! This is where Coach Julianne will answer any questions you have about your fitness, training, or nutrition. The upcoming topics include winter running in preparation for the Grit and Run It 5k and proper recovery habits. So stay tuned!
